Installation with GoDaddy

In the “Websites + Marketing” builder, custom code exists only as an “HTML” section on a single page.

Requirement: Your website is built with “Websites + Marketing” by GoDaddy. If a WordPress runs at GoDaddy, the WordPress guide applies.

Not possible here: The GoDaddy help names no field for code on all pages in “Websites + Marketing”, only the “HTML” section on a single page. We have not checked whether the assistant appears correctly in such a section. Please write to us before you book: we will try it out with you.

Step by step

1. Open your GoDaddy product page, expand “Websites + Marketing” and click “Manage” next to your website.
2. Open the page on which the assistant should appear and add a section at the place you want.
3. Look for the “HTML” section and add it.
4. Paste the line of code into the field for custom code.
5. The change is saved automatically. Look at the result in the preview and publish the website.

Good to know

• The section only applies to the page it is on. For every further page you would have to create it again.
• Leave the field for a forced height empty.
• If it does not work this way: the assistant is also available as a page of its own with link and QR code, without any installation. You switch it on in your account under “Code & installation” → “Link and QR code” and link to it on your website.
