Installation with Joomla
The line of code below is a sample. Your own line with your ID is in your account.
Via a field for custom code in the template, or by your agency in the template itself.
Requirement: An account with administrator rights.
Not possible here: Joomla itself has no field for custom code, and according to the Joomla forum neither does the bundled Cassiopeia template. So it depends on your template.
Step by step
- In the Joomla backend open “System” → “Site Template Styles” (in Joomla 3: “Extensions” → “Templates” → “Styles”) and click your template.
- In the template’s settings look for a field for custom code. Many purchased templates have one; it is often called “Custom Code”, “Before </body>” or “Tracking Code”.
- Paste the line of code there, preferably at the place for the end of the page, and save.
- If your template has no such field, your web designer adds the line to the template’s “index.php” file, directly before </body>, in a copy of the template so that an update does not overwrite it. Use the button “Create an email to my web designer” for this.
- Clear the Joomla cache and open your website in a new window.
Your line of code
<script src="https://app.nexjuai.com/widget.js" data-kennung="IHRE-KENNUNG" defer></script>Good to know
- A “Custom” HTML module is not suitable: as a rule, Joomla’s editor removes scripts when saving.
- The Joomla Extensions Directory has extensions that put code on every page. We have not checked them.
