Installation with WordPress
The line of code below is a sample. Your own line with your ID is in your account.
Easiest with our own plugin. Or with the free plugin “WPCode” into the footer of all pages. There is a video for both ways.
Requirement: You need an account with administrator rights.
Not possible here: WordPress.com on the free plan: no plugins can be installed there. According to WordPress.com it works on the Personal, Premium, Business and Commerce plans.
Step by step
- Sign in to the WordPress dashboard and open “Plugins” → “Add Plugin” (in older versions “Add New Plugin” or “Add New”).
- Type “WPCode” into the “Search Plugins” field on the right. At the plugin “WPCode – Insert Headers and Footers”, click “Install Now” and then “Activate”.
- In the left menu open “Code Snippets” → “Header & Footer”.
- Scroll down to the “Footer” field (it comes after “Header” and “Body”) and paste the line of code there.
- Click “Save Changes” at the top right.
- Open your website in a new window. The assistant appears at the bottom edge.
Your line of code

- If you use a caching plugin (for example WP Rocket or W3 Total Cache), clear the cache after saving. Otherwise the website keeps showing the old version for a while.
- Many themes and page builders have their own field for code in the footer. That works just as well; the plugin is then not needed.
- With Elementor Pro there is “Elementor” → “Custom Code”: add new code, choose the end of the body as location and “Entire Site” as condition. According to Elementor this requires Elementor Pro.

We clicked through both ways (our plugin and WPCode) ourselves on 13 Oct 2026: in a fresh WordPress 7.1.3 with WPCode Lite 2.4.0, in the German and the English interface. We have not checked Elementor and WordPress.com ourselves. Tested by us.
