Installation with IONOS

In MyWebsite Now in the settings as code in the head of the page.

Requirement: Your website is built with the MyWebsite Now builder. If a WordPress runs at IONOS, the WordPress guide applies.

Not possible here: According to IONOS, the HTML module is not available in all MyWebsite Now plans. If the entry for head code or the HTML module is missing, your plan allows no code of your own; then only a plan change or IONOS customer service helps.

Step by step

1. Sign in to your IONOS account, open your web projects from the menu and click the button to manage the project of your website. Open the editor there.
2. In the editor’s left menu bar open the settings and there the entry for code in the head (in the German interface “Einstellungen” → “Head-Code”).
3. Paste the line of code.
4. Choose the privacy option: without required consent the code loads when the page is opened, with required consent only after the visitor has agreed.
5. Save and publish the website.

Good to know

• The assistant sets no cookies and stores nothing in your visitors’ browsers. Which privacy option fits your website is your decision.
• The head code applies to every page of the project. The HTML module in the content area only works on the page it is placed on; so use the head code.
