Installation with Webflow

The line of code below is a sample. Your own line with your ID is in your account.

In “Site settings” on the “Custom code” tab into the “Footer code” field.

Requirement: At Webflow, custom code requires a paid plan. Whether your plan allows it shows on the “Custom code” tab: otherwise the field is locked there.

Not possible here: Free Webflow sites without a paid plan: “Custom code” is locked there.

Video, 85 seconds, no sound: the click path as a diagram, step by step. No screenshots; the same steps are below for reading.

Step by step

  1. In Webflow open the “Site settings” of your website.
  2. Choose the “Custom code” tab.
  3. Paste the line of code into the “Footer code” section. Webflow puts what is there on every page before the end of the page (before </body>).
  4. Click “Save changes”.
  5. Publish the website (“Publish”). Only then is the code active on the website.

Good to know

  • If the assistant should appear on one page only, the same field exists in the settings of the individual page (“Before </body> tag”). For the assistant, the field for the whole site is right.
  • According to its own help, Webflow does not help with troubleshooting custom code. If the assistant does not appear, write to us.
